The Wamby Award is NetShrine's way of indicating to 'Net Surfers that a particular Baseball Website is an "impressive pick" worth visiting. The award is named after Bill Wambsganss - the only player to turn an unassisted triple play in the World Series (1920) - a gem that was quite an impressive pick itself.
How does NetShrine determine who wins a Wamby Award? It's not very scientific. NetShrine reviews many Baseball Websites. A Wamby winner may have been chosen because that site is unique, informative or slick. Then again, it may have been chosen solely because the site is just plain ol' fun. To be candid, it's a subjective process - but, hey, it's our award, and we can do what we want with it.
