Schilling was scheduled to start on Thursday, but suffered from discomfort during a throwing session. Since his start was then pushed back to Saturday, it was time to put him on the DL.

After double digit negative RCAAs in his first couple of years in the majors (excluding a combined total of just 10 games in 1999-2000), despite playing in just a total of 121 games, Barajas is off to a .429 SLG, .286 OBA, .714 OPS, -2 RCAA start in his first 6 games.

2) The Yankees will activate P Mariano Rivera from the DL today. Randy Choate will probably be sent down.
