28 15 51 46 42 5 3 414.3 477 149 7 62 140 3.24 4.53 140 Well, Cy wins most of the categories but still I think Kid comes out on top by virtue of more wins, a better winning percentage and a much lower ERA. I was shocked while I was looking up these guys that they came up in the same year (1890) and that Nichols was actually 3 years younger than Young. I wonder what might have happened if he had also gone to the American League. I'm sure Young padded his career wins total a bit winning 93 games his first 3 years there. |
