Last night, Pedro walked six and allowed three hits over seven innings. However, he gave up 0 ER. (The one run that scored was truly an unearned run; not a case where he gave up hits/walks after there should have been 3 outs.)
Does anyone know the record for most baserunners allowed while giving up zero earned runs. |

Larry Cheney (9/14/13) and Milt Gaston (7/10/28) both gave up 14 hits while pitching shutouts. Not sure if either walked anyone?

The Braves played a game against the Astros some years ago which they won 16-0 with all of their runs being unearned. Obviously there was more than one Astro's pitcher involved, but the Braves had a ton of baserunners !

How could any wrong that he did compare with that?" - John Sears |
