Default All-time Team Teams Season #2!!!!

Hello All!
After a one month off-season, in which I have placed all of the results from season one into my encyclopedia (which ill get to in a minute) I am ready to begin Year Two of the all-time all-time league. I am going to start the league this weekend, and I want to give anyone the opportunity, today and tomorrow to voice any major beefs with a roster or anything else, and we can go about changing them for Season Two. IF you feel someone was neglected that should not have been, please tell me, if there is someone from season one who should have gotten more or less AB's or IP's, please tell me, and I will change it.

One of the features of strat-o-matic is its "encyclopedia function" which allows me to export a complete season into it. It tracks all-time records for both single season and career. So, right now, it really is only the league leaders from Season One. But when I add Season Two, it will compile cumulative as well as single-season leaders. It also tracks each player inidivudually with their stats, so it keeps track of everything, so I hope to play a handful of seasons, and see who the first hitter to 200 HR's, or see if someone can hit .400 over a full season, or a pitcher to win 100 games, etc....

So, before I start season 2, please tell me if there are any changes you want to be made whether it be with rosters, scheduling, anything.....

Just a reminder that the stats and standings from Season One are still on the web at: andrewbashuk.esmartweb.com

PS- Now that we have a year under our belts, if anyone has any predictions along with tweaks for their ballclub that would be great....Can the Yankees repeat? The Red Sox won 105 games last year, but were 7 shy of New York...can they overtake the Yanks? Can the charging Braves, Reds, and Dodgers overtake the Giants in the NL West? The Cards and Phillies had to have a best of 3 playoff to decide their division...will the two of them come down to the wire again, or will one of them run away with it? Or can The Reds or Pirates or Cubs challenge them? Will the White Sox repeat in the AL West? And, will the Expos, and Padres have dreadful, hapless seasons again?

Can the Babe repeat his HR performance? What about Pete Alexander's NL Cy Young Award?

Any predicitions would be great!
Season Starts This Weekend!

Whew....way too many pop-ups on that site, Andrew.

For the Reds, let me suggest Heinie Groh at 3B, Rose in RF as a regular.

Yeah, that would be my lineup. We'll let Skip weigh in on this, too.

would it be possible to be sent something with rosters and lineups? I'm really only interested in the Orioles/Browns team so if you have that as a seperate file that would be great.

One thing I noticed on the Giants roster is that you have both Bonds listed as B Bonds. When you click to look at the indvidual stats for both player only one's stats come up (Bobby's, I think). You might want to Ba Bonds and Bo Bonds or something similar if you can. Otherwise the Giants roster looks good. Why mess with success?

I dont have a specific file, to load the lineups into a text format... but I can type them for you...I obviously cant do every team, but a few isn't a problem....

E. Murray DH
C. Hoiles 2
D. Johnson 4

Bench:
B. Powell
D. Pratt
G. Triandos
M. Belanger
A. Brumby
K. Singleton
R. Dempsey*
H. Clift*

Actually, I'd keep it as it was but I don't feel really strongly about it - as I would if you'd suggested say, Bergen over Bench. My only problem with my preferred lineup is that it is SO modern-centric.

Ok, here's my suggestions

B. Anderson 7
G. Sisler 3
F. Robinson 9
B. Powell DH
C. Ripken, Jr. 6
B. Robinson 5
C. Hoiles 2
D. Johnson 4
P. Blair 8

Bench:
E. Murray
D. Pratt
G. Triandos
M. Belanger
A. Brumby
K. Singleton
R. Dempsey*
H. Clift*

I hate benching Murray (one of my all time favorites) but he struggled in season 1 and Sisler and Powell I think will both be better. The only other idea would be to keep Murray at DH, and put Powell in left field and Anderson in center and bench Blair.

Which would look like this for lineup.

B. Anderson 8
G. Sisler 3
F. Robinson 9
B. Powell 7
C. Ripken, Jr. 6
E. Murray DH
B. Robinson 5
C. Hoiles 2
D. Johnson 4

Bench:
P. Blair
D. Pratt
G. Triandos
M. Belanger
A. Brumby
K. Singleton
R. Dempsey*
H. Clift*

James-
either are fine, but you need to pick one or the other...whichever one you think looks best would be great...

also people- i want to start the league today, but i think ill wait until tomorrow to give everyone one more day to send in suggestions, but after tomorrow, im going to start playing the games....

so any suggestions you have, like i said, for your team, another team, or another aspect of the league; i.e., scheduling, rest, etc., would be great....

thanks-

andrew

try the second lineup then. Hopefully the offense will make up for the defense.

After a bit of an absence, the season is ready to begin...I will begin the season later today and then give yall the web address with updates...I tweaked a few lineups using the info yall gave me as well as Rob Neyers big book of baseball lineups....i also had a few more teams change to a 4 man rotation to see what happens
Another thing I changed was that I added a little interleague play...Its something I am against in real life, but in my fantasy life, thought it would be nice to change things up a little bit....the NL West teams will face the AL West teams, and the NL East teams will face the AL East teams...

Its still a 162 game schedule with the pre 1994 divisional setup....team will play the teams in their division 18 times, other division in their league 9 times, and the other division in the other league the rest of the games...

if anyone has any other questions, please post them...and the season will be started shortly
