The Western Conference sends six teams with 50+ wins, the East just one. Can the Lakers four-peat without home-court advantage?

Hopefully not. I'm so sick of the Lakers.
I'll take the Kings to win it all. |

The Kings seem to have all the pieces. If everyone is healthy and playing well, especially Webber, I think that this is their year. The Lakers may play well in the playoffs, but the cracks are starting to show. This is not their year.

The Lakers go as far as Shaq takes them. Nobody has anyone that can match up with him, so in a playoff series, you either have to overcommit resources to control Shaq, which leaves Kobe and company room to work, or live with your outmanned center on the Big Man, and suffer the consequences.
If Shaq is healthy, the Lakers go all the way. Again. |

I agree totally....if Shaq is hot, they four-peat..... The Wolves got a bad break last night when Portland choked against the Clippers. It looks like we'll hear more about how they have never won a playoff series.......

Lakers reach the West finals since the Spurs have a Lakerphobia in the playoffs. They'll play the Kings and either could win. If I have to bet, I'll say the Kings this year. I think Philly will surprise in the East and make it back to the finals for their second stint as sacrificial lamb to the West.

If it ends up being Kings and Lakers in the confernece finals, that series will be a WAR. Tell me there isn't some bad blood there. Should be fun to watch.

I can't stand the Lakers, but until someone shows me they can beat them that is where I am placing my money.

Gotta be a homer. LA loses badly in the first round. (Oh, please!)
Someone kidnap Isaiah Thomas, please, so the Pacers can fulfill my prediction! |

Ok, SportsGuy or whatever Bill Simmons calls himself now agrees with me. Question: He's a devout NBA fan and follows this more than I do, so why do I think this is not a good thing? ![]() |

I'm not sure why they even bother with the Eastern Conference playoffs. Maybe they could be considered the Tier II champs or something.
Shaq remains the key. If anyone can stop him and force Kobe to be the first option, they have a shot to knock L.A. out. No matter how big Kobe's numbers are, the Lakers will live and die with Shaq, as they showed early in the season. |

Picked Dallas...although honestly the pick is "Anyone but L.A.".
![]() Dallas is the team amongst the other 15 I would like to see go all the way, after what the fans had to endure through they deserve it. And I just want to see Mark Cuban go nuts after they win it all. ![]() |

Anyone but the Lakers.
I think the Kings have a great chance but I'm pulling for Kidd and the Nets from my home state...if my Knicks can't be in it (and it seems they won't be for quite a long time ) I root for NJ!! ![]()
