Wink Come Into The Light!

Is it just me, or does "Opening Night" lack the ring and excitement of "Opening Day"?

All Openers should be day games - or start in the light, at the least.

I agree! I can't get juiced about a Sunday night game as the opener.

I think the idea is to give ESPN and "Opening Night" first game of the season to telecast, while still letting everyone play "Opening Day" the next day with a straight face.

Yeah! That's why I fell asleep - I knew there was a good reason. It's MLB's fault ... again.

Every sport opens at night these days. Even football. It's just something we have to get used to.

But, NY played at Tor - at night - in their opener - - that one could/should have been played during the day.

My bigger pet peeve is that the local media and the Tigers are referring to Wednesday's game as Opening Night simply because it's the first night game for the Tigers of the season.

No! Never! I'll keep fighting it. Just like the DH, interleague play, the wild-card... oh...

Ah... who am I kidding? They're playing!

I liked it for what it was. A chance to watch baseball after months of crap. After all how many of the Opening Days did you see? Unless you didn't work yesterday during the day you didn't see any.

i would prefer opening DAY. a beautiful DAY at the park (icky as the juicebox is) with the roof open and the sun shining. i actually prefer DAY games. period. i know it's a little unfair because i don't work strictly 9 to 5 but i still love the sunshine and fresh air. (until june, yes, i know, i know) but at least our games usually start at 7 or 7:30 instead of 8 or 9
