I read in Lee's ATM Reports this morning that Al Gionfriddo died yesterday. It reminded me of the following radio broadcast of his famous catch of Joe Dimaggio's long drive in the 1947 World Series...
"Back, back, back, back...He makes a one-handed catch against the bullpen...Ohhhh, Doctor". |
