Bruce Chen was released today by the Cincinnati Reds. I saw him pitch when he came up with the Braves. He looked like a star in the making, but it never happened

I believe he did accept. But I am sure if someone shows an interest he will be traded on the cheap. I am baffled that CHen wasn't able to stick. I thought he'd be at least decent.

He's a frustrating guy to watch. Once in a while, he'll make you believe that he's finally there, only to get bombed the next time out.

The fact that the Reds seem to have given up on him, especially with their lackluster pitching, is an indication of his inconsistency. I'd love to see him put it all together and be what the Braves believed he would several years ago, but his time is quickly running out.

Released by three clubs in three months ... ouch.

he could use a good pitching coach,
besides, there are a lot of guys still pitching who are worse
