What player holds the record for most runs scored in a double header?

You do have a good collection of books!

Washington's Beldomero Melo Almada - a CF - scored 9 runs in a DH on 7/25/37. Senators beat the Browns twice, 16-10 and 15-5.

Wes Ferrell gave up 10 runs in 9 IP in the 1st game and got the win. In the nightcap, Walkup, the Browns' pitcher gave up 14 runs and 16 hits in the loss. No one ever heard of a bullpen in those days.

A good friend made this point to me a few years back. In baseball, a guy you never heard of can hold a single game or series record - - whereas in football or basketball (etc.) most of the single game and series records are held by big stars. Anyone agree?

I agree, the reason may be the long season w/ many teams,
also teamwork is not as vitale in BB as other two sports.
There many more reason to this Q.
