Predict the AL Central this year? Looks like a 2-team race. I'll say:
1. White Sox 2. Twins 3. Indians 4. Royals 5. Tigers |

Twins
Sox Indians Tigers Royals Unless Colon & Buerhle both win 20, the Twins can mail out playoff tix very early this season. |

Twins
Indians Sox KC Detroit Just a hunch - the vaunted Sox acquisitions will not pan out. Too many good restaurants in Chicago for Colon. |

ditto x 4 I don't think Colon will pitch nearly as well as last season (not a stinker, by any stretch, but not as well), and Frank Thomas is running out of gas. It will be interesting to see who the Twins play with bullseyes on their backs this year instead of being the underdog-darlings. Chicago could beat them... but just about everything would have to go right in the Windy City and I don't see it happening. The Tribe can probably plan their 3rd place celebration right now. The Motor City Kitties can get to work on their 5th five-year plan confident that no matter how terribly they play, the ownership in KC has absolutely no intention of playing to win for the foreseeable future. |

1. Minnesota Twins
2. Chicago White Sox 3. Cleveland Indians 4. Detroit Tigers 5. Kansas City Royals It all depends on Milton, really. If his knee is really okay, I can't see Colon bringing the Sox close enough. Of course, if Gardenhire has the sense to give Santana a spot in the rotation out of spring training, there shouldn't be any question marks. |
