Yogi, you could do that, but I guess you'd have to make sure you drafted them in the right place. As far as I know, you couldn't draft your lumber guy as an outfielder and then later draft a fourth outfielder and move the former to DH. Barring an amendment to the rules, you have to keep each player at the position you drafted him at, so far as I know. For example, I don't think that if you had, say, Mantle, Mays, and Williams in your outfield, and then decided to draft Terry Moore for defense, that you could say "Hey, Williams wasn't much of a fielder, so I'm going to make him my DH now!" After your three outfielders were chosen, you'd have to make Moore your DH/Extra hitter, so it would be advantageous to you to put a poor fielder as your DH off the bat if you planned to draft a more defensively sound outfielder in a later round. Since the rules don't say you can switch a player's position, I assume you can't. Am I right, Net?
TBack, sorry for any confusion I might've caused (probably not the first or the last, I'll admit).

What I'd _meant_ was that if you had a choice of several OF-ers, and say you'd chsen Mays and a two others but lo and behold, Hank Aaron wasn't yet chosen, you could draft him as your DH, since you'd felt your two OF drafts were better defensively but still wanted Hank's lumber in your lineup.

I guess the way I'd worded it made it seem as if you could _change_ Aaron from your OF to DH, which I wasn't trying to do.

Don't worry, HM, Yaz was going to be my next pick as well, so he probably wouldn't have made it down to you. I know that's small consolation

You people have no mercy for a downtrodden soul. Yaz was on my list of picks and I had to juggle him and Jackie Robinson, finally selecting Jackie due to his top glove, historical significance and that I'd needed a great member of Dem Bums as one of my picks. Is there anyone else out there who wants to steal my picks?

plj7, Yaz, aka Capt Carl, played LF, not RF.

May Bill Gates burn your PC so that your next pick wouldn't have been made anyway.

Buzz - excellent pick on Bags. I would have liked to have got him.

All - I'm closing this thread and starting a new one. Why? Hoping it will change our luck and get the draft moving quicker. I'll try anythng at this point!
