This is like Bill James' system of MLE (major league equivilent) stats for minor leaguers, which has been fairly accurate.

I received criticism on a prior thread for not leading off with commentary so here goes - the author attempts to do for Japanese baseball stats what STATS, Inc. and Bill James tried to do for minor league stats, which is to assess the players level of performance had he been playing in MLB. While I regard this as very interesting there is a =/- factor that comes into play, nevertheless give it a look
