Default Need Source of Winter League News

Does anyone know where to get daily reports from the Caribbean Winter Leagues? In previous years, mlb.com provided box scores, stats, standings, etc. However, with the Mexican League into its second week already, they have nothing. In an email reply, one of the mlb.com correspondents told me that they will be focusing more on team reports and there won't be much coverage on the main site like in the past.

POSTING TIP FOR THE DAY: When composing a post, think about what you would say if the intended recipient was an individual who was actually sitting just two feet in front of you, in person, rather than just some far away and anonymous audience who only can identify you as text on a PC screen - - and then write your post in that manner. It makes for remarkable and sincere discourse.

MLB usually provides coverage through their site once the winter leagues begin. I can't remember if they did daily updates last year, but they had some decent info.

Gracias, Senor Steve! Senor Craig, mlb has not fired up that part of their website yet and at least one person there told me they may not be planning to this season. The Mexican League has already played eight games.

Wow! This web site is hugely improved. I was in Mexico a couple years ago, and tried to find some information about where teams played online. I could barely come up with anything, other than team names.

I did manage to get to a couple games, the most exciting being the Naranjeros of Hermosillo, because we happened to catch Vinny Castilla's first game back with the team. (He only plays for about a month at the end of the season, I think, and the crowd goes nuts when he shows up.) If I remember correctly, Hensley "Bam Bam" Meulens was playing for the visiting team. I had just interviewed "Bam Bam" a few months previously, when he was on the Newark Bears. I was helping out a friend who was writing a story for a Japanese publication about foreigners in Japanese leagues. It all felt very international.

Sorry, I know this has nothing to do with getting box score information, but it was a fun trip and game.
