Pierce Brosnan
Actually, they should consider Hugh Grant for the next one............

Couldn't stand a sissy like Roger Moore playing 007.

At this point, I'd simply vote to blow up the whole franchise.

Lazenby was a stiff. Though Moore made the incredibly bad Moonraker, he was in some good ones too. I actually liked Dalton in the role. Brosnan is ok. But Connery will always be the top Bond.

I agree with you on this one Skip

I agree with everything Skip said here. Connery is the best, Brosnon and Moore were good, Dalton was better than everyone said, and Lazenby sucked. |

I would definitely hack Brosnan. Bond has gone from semi-classy internationl playboy to bonafide sleazeball under his tenure.

Timothy Dalton didn't do much for me. He always seemed like he wasn't really that happy to be there.

Lazenby, but Dalton would have been okay to kill off, too......

I just dont get the Dalton hate. The Living Daylights was better than Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, the Lazenby Dud, Diamonds are Forever (JSJ totally stinks), Moonraker (worst ever, should have killed the franchise), A View to a Kill, and all the Brosnan Movies. Granted, License to Kill wasnt as good, but Dalton hardly deserves the abuse he gets or has gotten. His Bond was a lot closer to Connery's than either Moore or Brosnan.

Personally, I like Brosnan as Bond, although I really miss "Q".

I agree. I like John Cleese, but he's not Q. He should have stayed R. |

See, I like Her Majesty's Secret Service a lot, even though it has Lazenby in it. But Connery could never have done that film.
Great: - Connery (excluding Diamonds are Forever) Very Good: - early Moore - Brosnan Acceptable: - Connery (Diamonds are Forever - time to go...) - Lazenby - Dalton Just Bad: - stupid old Moore, Moonraker and beyond But I can't kill off Moore, he's who I grew up with and The Spy Who Loved Me is one of my favorite movies of any genre. He made some real garbage, but the writers were as much to blame. So, Dalton would get the axe. I will be very upset if Hugh Grant is the next Bond. |
