So any guesses on who'll make it?

i think:
West - Raider <- clinched division
North - Steelers
South - Titans <- clinched division
East - Jets

Wild card:
Miami, Colts.

i know, jets winning the East is a dream. but i can hope rite?

AFC East- New England
AFC North - Steelers

Wild Cards:
Indy, Denver

No way that Miami can win a game in NE in December. I think Denver and Indy win their games this week to put themselves in. As I write this the Steelers are beating Tampa Bay. They win tonight, they win their division. After the playoffs starts what happens in anyone's guess.

The Jets winning the East isn't that crazy. Green Bay doesn't have as much to play for as the Jets do and Miami has a tough game.

I think if the Jets win the division then both NE and Miami will have a tough time getting in.

Actually, Green Bay has a lot to play for on Sunday. If they beat the Jets, they get at least the #2 seed (and a week off) and possibly the #1 if Philadelphia loses against the Giants on Saturday. If they lose and Tampa Bay wins at Chicago, they end up having to play the first weekend of the playoffs and then would get to go to Tampa the following week. I guarantee the Packers want to face Tampa Bay at Lambeau.....

I'm going to go against my instincts and pick Miami to win the East. I know it's been a decade since they won an important game in December, but I have to believe that a strong running game gives them a chance to finally win in cold weather.

So the divisions go to Miami, Pittsburgh, Tennessee and Oakland.

For the wildcards, I'll pick Indy to get in with a win over the Jags, and for the Broncos to join them after Cleveland, New England and the Jets all lose.

Default Browns will make it

IF:

1. CLE win + DEN win + NYJ win

2. CLE win + KC loss or tie + NYJ win

3. CLE win + DEN win + MIA win or tie

4. CLE win + KC loss or tie + MIA win or tie

5. CLE tie + NYJ loss or tie + NE loss or tie + DEN loss or tie + SD loss or tie + KC loss

6. NE loss + NYJ loss + BAL loss or tie + DEN loss + SD loss + KC loss

*There are other scenarios in which Cleveland can clinch a playoff berth if it is determined that after this week's games they will own the strength of victory tiebreaker over the teams they are tied with.

Simple, huh? We can even LOSE, finish 8-8 and still make the playoffs.

Gotta love it -- it's almost as bad as the NHL.

After watching another late-season Dolphins collapse, I have to say that Dave Wannstedt has absolutely no idea of how to manage the clock in a game. No matter how big your early lead is, you can't run a whole half off the clock.

Miami went into a shell after halftime, and it cost them. So many times over the past few years, I've seen this same pattern followed. I honestly think DW is the most overrated coach in the NFL, and he should stick to being a coordinator.

Let the Jets make it. At least they have a coach who understands all aspects of the game.

Three plays essentially killed the Dolphins. First was the pass interference call that lead to the Pats TD. The second was getting caught in the kick off pinning them deep in their own territory. Finally was the kick off in OT that went out of bounds. The first was the refs, but the second too was Miami playing dumb. I'm not sure you can tack it all on Wannstadt, but you have to wonder after the collapses that Miami has had in the last month under his leadership.

This has been one of the weirder last weekends ever. Atlanta loses, but still gets in. The Giants almost kill themselves, but still get in. The Jets are looking like their going to win the division despite some of the awful games they've turned in this season.

This is going to be one wild playoffs. I think the Raiders are looking better than anyone else right now. However, I'm not taking anything for granted. Not after this season. You never know. It could end up Atlanta and Cleveland in the Super Bowl.

Cleveland in the Super Bowl? They could. In fact, you could say they'd be the favorite to win it all, if the Jets win and the Browns make it into the playoffs.

Who had the best road record in the NFL this year? The Browns; the team that won ugly and lost ugly all year.

Today's win was a perfect example of Browns football.
