Here's a guy who gets his starting job back because the #1 guy is arrested for a felony and kicked off the team.
He wins a big game. Then he oversleeps, misses a final exam, and is ineligible for his big bowl game. Rix was not impressing his teammates prior to pulling the big snooze. Will he be FSU's QB next year? I say, "NO!" But what do YOU think? |

He's a Cali kid with family problems, so there's certainly the possibility of going home. However, if he did that, he'd have to sit out for a season, which I don't think he'll want to do.
I'm guessing he's back at FSU, and I'm predicting he wins back the starting job. No doubt about his potential, only his head. I think the family problems he's had lately impacted his performance on and off the field. If they can resolve themselves, he should be back. If not, maybe he'll end up back out west. Either way, I think he'll still be in college. No way would a team spend anything more than a late-round draft pick on him, since he really hasn't proven himself enough. Plus, there are better underclassmen QBs considering the draft - Grossman and Eli Manning would both be better candidates. I don't think he'd be a starter in either the CFL or NFL Europe, so I think college is his best optioon. |

He'll probably be back at FSU competing and winning the starting job. Coaches have short memories for kids with talent.

Don't know that much about him, but in the games I've seen him in he had better return to FSU where he can be a starter and get PT. If he transfers to a major school he has to sit out a year.

The idea of Rix playing in either the NFL Europe or CFL is wishful thinking. Despite a healthy arm, neither league is likey to take a flyer on a guy who hasn't proven anything as a college starter. Coming out after a few years as a starter is one thing, but being a guy who played less than a year would make it a hard sell.
If the CFL took Rix, then they'd pretty much be open to taking any unproven QB with an average arm. Last time I looked, it wasn't a great league, but neither was it that desperate. |

I think he transfers to a 1AA school where he can play immediately

How could any wrong that he did compare with that?" - John Sears |
