Bonds's 310 IBB broke his own major league record of 274, from 1992-2001. Prior to Bonds, the record was 200, by Willie McCovey, from 1966-75. Bonds broke the record with 224, from 1987-96, before raising it to 255 (1988-97), to 270 (1989-98), to 274 and then to 310.

It was the 3rd consecutive time Thomas led the AL.
