When you go to a game, do you generally stay in your seats, or, do you try and move into better seats the first chance you get?
When at a game, while sitting in the seats you paid for, does it bother you when people are obviously sneaking into seats by you? Personally, I have a habit of staying in the seats which I have tickets for - - - mostly because I'm lazy, and, once I'm settled in, I just want to relax and watch the game - - not have the thought of moving around be my main focus. The exception is LONG rain delays. If I've been in the park and the delay is more than an hour and the stadium starts to empty, I will move once play resumes - - assuming there are a thousand seats to choose from........... How about you?

This is (somehow) an interesting question. I tend to stay put too, unless my seats are just egregious. The main reason I ever move is to get into/out of the sun.
Of course my inertia may be partially explained by the fact that almost all events I attend are in smaller parks where there really arent any bad seats. I could see sneaking down from the 3rd deck somewhere to seats within shouting distance of the field pretty easily. |

My tickets are usually good enough that I don't have to move down.....However, if I'm not in excellent seats, I won't go sometimes....I've been called a sports snob on many occasions!

I usually don't move unless it's a long and the "good" seats have thousands of empty seats.

I usually move around. Comerica is a park where you can move around and find plenty of different vantage points. They set it up so that you can watch the game from several places where there aren't seats.

These days I tend to stay in my seat if I am at Pac Bell park. If I am in my usual at seats I almost never change seats. Every once in awhile I will get different seats, and then I may try to change seats. This is usually in an attempt to get into the sun or out of the wind. Since there are no bad views at Pacbell Park, I never try to upgrade for a better view.

I will move around if there are a lot of empty seats. A couple of years ago, my wife and I went to a doubleheader at Three Rivers Stadium. We stayed in our seats until well into the second game, then gradually moved up (the 2nd game ended about midnight) until we were almost right behind home plate.

I don't move around during a game. I don't even go to the concession stands (but I'm fortunate because I'm usually with someone else who's willing to go - if not, I'll go once before the game starts).
The reason for this is that I am a serious scorecard geek, and since I still only manage to get to about 6 games a year, my scorecards are precious. I don't like to miss anything!

I'm the same way. I park it and stay until the end of the game.

Great question!
My first husband and I use to seat hop! Move down as the game progressed or we knew who owned the other seats and knew there patterns and sat in their seats. Now that I own my seats. I sit in my seats. I don't like to leave them. Even if so called "better" are available. My husband always request an upgrade. I secretly hope we never get it. I love my seats. That is secret to happiness.....love what you have! ![]()

With Fenway as my home park, moving isn't that viable an option. If I find that my seats have a particularly bad pole obstruction, I may move within my row. And when I'm traveling, I usually try to buy the best seats available, so I don't have to move.
The only time I'll try for a major upgrade is if I'm reasonably sure the owners of the seats have left. It's just not worth watching nervously as everyone walks down the aisle towards me. |
