Red face What Are You Watching?

I was just loking at the Top 20 Rated TV shows for the week of Oct. 21 - Oct. 27, 2002 - -

- - - http://tv.yahoo.com/nielsen/

Sports Programming aside, who is watching this stuff?

I only watch three of the top ones - Raymond, Friends, and Still Standing.

I don't watch anyone of the CSIs or Law and Orders, Survivor, Judging Amy, Without A Trace, The Bachelor, or JAG.

OK, sometimes I watch 60 minutes.

Am I missing something?

Really, other than Raymond, Still Standing, Frazier, Hidden Hills, Enterprise, Friends, Will & Grace, the Simpsons, and CYE, there's nothing on TV that I go out of my way to see these days.

I avoid all those 10 PM Soap Operas as a whole.

What about you?

We are big Law & Order fans. My wife and I watch mostly 10 o'clock dramas. 10 years ago, we watched mostly comedies, but that has switched and we don't really watch any sitcoms anymore.

The only show I watch on that list is Friends. The only other shows I watch on a regular basis are Sopranos, Curb, Srubs and Robbery Homicide Division. Usually I'd rather watch movies if there's not a good game on somewhere.

Other than the various Law & Order shows the only shows I watch regularly are Grand Ol' Opry Live and Andromeda

There are a lot of people who don't have the same taste that I do. I really like Raymond and I still watch Friends but I haven't got into any of the reality shows except for the Osbournes.

wait a second.... jamie gertz is still on tv? really? wow.

i had never heard of "still standing" until this thread, and i watch plenty of tv ... i guess i dont watch cbs much.

i'd say the shows i don't miss are, in order during the week:
simpsons, sopranos, curb, MNF, real world, south park, ER

there are others i used to watch, but don't. i have tremendous trouble watch the family-based sitcoms in the home improvement mold. i think raymond can be funny but is never FUNNY.

The show ranked 6th may be the greatest moment in television history, but beyond that there's nothing I make it a point to see.

Simpson's, King of the Hill, Seinfeld reruns, Conan replay on Comedy Central, sports, Man Show once in a while. Friday's Shelli and I like to watch AFV. Shelli takes great joy in watching people fall on their ass or get kicked in the nuts. She's sick in the head.
That World Series was kinda cool too.

Just Everybody Loves Raymond here. Which is always FUNNY.

CYE, obviously - and I'll watch reruns of The Larry Sanders Show on Bravo!

I enjoy Raymond or Friends but haven't gone out of my way to watch them or any prime time series in a long time ... I suppose since The Pretender was cancelled. Actually, the Pretender was the only drama I've watched regularly in a decade or so. My wife likes West Wing, and I usually see the last half of it after I get home from class each Wed. night.

My wife and I used to watch a lot more TV, more often between 8-10 than later. The reduction in viewing is not so much a conscious decision to cut back on TV, as it is just being busier with activities for 3 kids and having to mix available viewing time around 'their' programs as well as the few primetime shows we'd think appropriate to watch together.

I watch Simpsons, Malcolm in the Middle, That 70's show, 60 Minutes, and Frontline. I do not have cable and we do not get NBC in San Francisco over broadcast. I used to watch West Wing, but I was getting tired of it when we lost NBC at the beginning of the year. I find that most shows are extremely formulaic. I do not think there's really any one show that pushes the envelope. I find more often than not I'll check what's on PBS.

I watch the Law and Orders, that's all from this list other than sports. I mostly watch Law and Order regular and SVU, the Practice, and 24.

i'll watch just about any movie on tv that seems interesting. and if there ain't none, i'll hit my netflix choix du jour...
there are exactly zero sitcoms that i can watch. can't stand the predictable, out-of-a-can americana humor... used to watch re-runs of the british version of 'whose line' when i had comedy central....and the bbc had a all-night marathon of flying circus the other night....so i didn't sleep
