Default Save the best for last

He pitched in his only ML game on the last day of the season
and lead his team in most save(s) for the year.
Can you name him?

Could it be John Slagle who in 1891 for American Association Cincinnati club who had the only save the team recorded?

There are three other players who tied for the team lead in saves with one and who only appeared in one game and who did it late in the year.

Axel Lindstrom of the 1916 Philadelphia A's made his only ML appearance in the season finale on 10-3-16 garnering the save. He would tie for the club leadership in this department.
