Yesterday, I actually got the right stat for the HR/100 PA leaders for the past 3-10 years. So, here's the charts for HR/100 AB.
HR/100 AB LEADERS--LAST 3-10 YEARS LAST 3 YEARS (SINCE 2000) MAJORS--Barry Bonds, 12.36 AL--Jim Thome, 8.83 NL--Barry Bonds, 12.36 It was the 2nd consecutive time and the 3rd time Bonds led the majors and the 2nd consecutive time and the 7th time he led the NL. Bonds's 12.36 figure is the 2nd highest in major league history, behind Mark McGwire's 13.19, from 1998-2000. LAST 4 YEARS (SINCE 1999) MAJORS--Barry Bonds, 11.79 AL--Jim Thome, 8.31 NL--Barry Bonds, 11.79 It was the 7th time Bonds led the NL. Prior to Bonds, the record was 8.52, by Ralph Kiner, from 1947-51. (McGwire never had the necessary 2500+ NL PA during a 5 year span to qualify.) LAST 6 YEARS (SINCE 1997) MAJORS--Barry Bonds, 9.97 AL--Jim Thome, 8.05 NL--Barry Bonds, 9.97 It was the 4th time Bonds led the majors and the 2nd consecutive time and the 8th time he led the NL.
