Default World Series Game 5

They held Bonds to a double.

still led to two runs though with Santiago's SF.

Washburn is getting killed. 63 pitches (only 30 for strikes) in 2.1 IP. 6 runs on 6 hits and 5 walks....

maybe the Giants abducted Washburn and replaced him with Kiefer Sutherland

I am sure Angels management might go with Kiefer right about now.

I'D TAKE him out and let the bullpen finish up.

not conceding but he just didn't have it.

with just two innings, he might be OK to pitch relief in a Game 7.

This game is far from over. 6-3 means v. little in 2002. Or in this series.

I'll bet if this series goes 7 (not conceding this game to the Giants, just assuming a split in 5+6) Washburn will appear in game 7.

change assuming a split to hoping for a split. This is a good series, and I want it to go 7!

Lofton's fielding is going to cost the Giants the entire series, I don't care if he bats 1.000 the rest of the way. Watching him stagger around out there makes me think of the stories I read about Mays at the end of his career - though I can't imagine Mays was anywhere near this pathetic.

defensive substitution! shinjo comes in for ..... Reggie Sanders???

question for those watching the game (i'm at gamecast at the office again) - Top 6, runners on 2nd and 3rd. Eckstein grounds it to short. Aurilia throws him out at 1st, Molina scores from third and Gil advances to 2nd.
did Aurilia not have a play at the plate? Molina is ssslllooowww, could he have not gotten him and prevented the angels from cutting into their lead?
