Compared to Barry against everyone else, that is invincible.
Another great game, the third of four such in this Series. And guaranteed baseball through Saturday! Extra cool! |

This was a typical Giant win. Keep it close and win it with a rally somewhere along the line. A great job by Reuter to work through his six innings and keep his team in the game. I am so glad that the Giants were able to get to K-Rod. He is human.
I would also like to add that I was at the game. Before this year I had never attended a playoff game. I now have gotten to go to one game in each round. It's been a lot of fun to say the least.

Didn't see much with all the sniper stuff breaking.
Three IW to Bonds = two DPs and 1 RBI single. Obviously the single was huge but the Angels would just as obviously take that every game. |

I'm just happy to have finally seen the end of a game. Of course, since I was teaching until 10:30, the end was my only choice. Later today I'll be visiting the ER to have the toothpicks removed from my eyelids.

Santiago, Kent and Snow better start hitting because Bonds isn't getting any chances to hit with men on base. I still like the Angels but it might take them seven games to do it.

4 games, Bonds has 8 official at bats. Darn, sure would be nice to see him get some hacks. Can't believe he does not get a shot with 1st and 3rd, intentionally load the bases? Can't argue with the results though. Pretty sad to see Benito just tap two balls to the 6 hole for rally killers. Amazing that you have never heard a peep out of Bonds about having to be erased so many times on force plays. The Angels finally stopped raking (after the 3rd, only 3 hits) and K-Rod finally got beat. That at bat with Bonds was electric. I felt it all the way at home. I feel good about Schmidt and Ortiz coming up against Washburn and Appier. The more I see of Weber, the better I feel. Is he trying to channel Hrabosky?Giants in 6!

I think we ought to change Santiago's number to 643.

I really thought after the second inning ending DP that the giants had lost. They really hung tough! Its anyones series at this point.

This time the Giants got the big hits and the Angels didn't. If I'm Dusty, I move Bell to the 2 spot and hit Aureilia behind Bonds. Especially against a lefty starter.
I think they might get some better swings against Schmidt this time. |

Somebody wake Kent up. That will do the trick. Everytime he Ks with the runners in scoring position (I count at least 3 times), it gives the Angels the option of walking Bonds. If he just hits a sac fly or gets a hit, that makes Bonds' at-bat a little more palatable. Although if Donnelly is walking Bonds with a 10-4 lead, I don't see Bonds getting another pitch until K-Rod or Percival get into the game. |
