Default World Series game 2

I turned on the game at the end of the first inning. How did the Angels score 5 runs so fast?

The Angels were "scrappy," using their "big hearts" to "come up with" and "big 5-run inning."

It was all do to their "never-say-die attitude," and the fact that they "were always positive" and "never stopped believing in themselves," subsisting on raw "guts."

Meanwhile, the Giants have come back in the second in a gutless, heartless, desperate-that-they-were-behind manner.

---
By the way, the Angels hit the ball well in Inning 1. They rolled off a boatload of consecutive hits, then had a nice double steal for run 5.

Is is me, or are there a lot of homers this postseason.

Thru 6, this game is starting to look a lot like Game 4 of the 1993 World Series.

Lucky for both teams that tomorrow is an off day.

Max is right--it's looking like this one will end 13-12 in 10 innings. And it'll be over at about 1 am eastern time.

The Giants' announcers were prescient before the game; they said Dusty could empty the bullpen with the offday tomorrow. They should watch what they wish for!

random in-game thought:

it might not matter, but did anyone think the first pitch of the bottom of the 7th (f rod to glaus) was a picture perfect strike? it was called a ball without any comment from buck/mccarver, and without any surprised reactions.

oh well - glaus just popped up.

Could we could rid of the shameless promotion by Fox of their shows?

These games are killing me. I'm going to need a defibulator if this keeps up like this for the whole series.

So much for pitching to Bonds, I guess.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that Bonds should be batting 3rd?

I wanna see Scioscia come out of the dugout and say "That's not a ball! We want a real ball!"

Nice and even -- good win for the Angels.

Lucky for both teams to have the offday since both had to go to the pen early...

Not sure if that ball Bonds hit has landed yet -- that was hysterical -- heard the interview with Percival and he said I have a two run lead -- put it down the middle and if he hits it out, so be it...just like the whole game, wasn't pretty but it did the job.

Question: Is Lofton the worst centerfielder to ever play a postseason game?

I can't stand the guy so to me it's comical but I feel for qtlaw and gosfgiants and co every time the ball is hit to center...it gets even more comical when they get back to PacBell ...

one more thing -- what's with the idiots at ESPN -- these idiot Angel fans spend a half hour yelling over the Baseball Tonight broadcast which renders it unwatchable, and then they show the dang idiots when going to a break...not that it would have shut them up anyway, but don't reward them....how about a producer asking them if they be quiet during the broadcast, they will pan them going to breaks otherwise they yell for nothing...

those people were annoying the hell out of me for two nights!
