Default football memorabilia

I have often wondered since the Terrell Owen incident Monday, what the market value of that football would be? I would venture to guess at least a million.

If you could own a piece of football memorabilia, what would it be?

For me I would love to have the ball thrown for Dan Marino's 48th touchdown pass in 1984.

He sort of redefined passing that year. It would be a nice thing to own.

On a side: Has anyone here seen the Pro Football hall of fame? I never have. What was your favorite thing about the football hall?

I think I'd take the other end of the spectrum Chris...I want Steve Largent's 100th career TD pass. Reason is simple, Largent was the first NFL'er that I idolized, he's maybe the only athlete that was ever on my wall, and most importantly, he was a local legend. I'm no Seahawks fan but I'm a very big Largent fan. So that's my choice at the moment. That or I could honour the first NFL'er I liked, and get a pair of game-worn Eric Dickerson goggles.

The ball that was kicked to win the Superbowl for New England in January 2002

The ball that Lionel Taylor caught pass # 100 with for the Denver Broncos back in the early 1960s, the first receiver to catch 100 passes in a season

The Sipe-to-Newsome ball that was intercepted by Oakland in the endzone in the playoffs on a cold Cleveland January in 1981...........so I can burn it.

Before each Browns game, on WTAM, they play a montage of football-sounding clips to get everyone ready for the pre-game show.

One of the sounds is a quarterback going "Ready.. Set.. Red-Right 88 - Red Right 88, Hut! Hut!

That's evil.

I'd like the football from Dwight Clark's "The Catch", or Franco Harris' lucky reception.

I don't think the Terrell Owens ball will be worth that much. It will have somne value but probably in the hundreds or thousands.

Since I am a Lions fan and they haven't had any great moments since the 50s... I would take Joe Namath's helmet from Super Bowl III.

Give me the football that Morten Andersen booted 39 Yards through the Metrodome Uprights in overtime of the 1999 NFC Championship Game anyday....
