Question Piniella To Be Mets Mgr (?)

Talk in NYC is like it's a done deal.
Great move by the Mets, IMHO.
Can't wait to see what they had to give up to get him............

Done deal? Everything I've heard to this point has the Mets vehemently denying even having permission to talk to the guy.

I do believe that the deal will get done though.

Skip -

New York radio station WEVD 1050, an ESPN Radio affiliate, was reporting Thursday night that the Mets could name Piniella as their new manager on Friday.

Yah - but this a.m. I heard that the Mets denied that 'rumour' vociferously. I guess we'll see as we wend our way through this gloriously sunny Friday.

The Mets are certainly a better job than the devil Rays. I guess his wife is more willing to put up with the travel to and from NY than Seattle.

Everyones allowed a few spelling mistakes, even Skip.

On topic I think Pinella could be good for the veteran team the Mets have.

Uh ... guys, I hate to break it to you, but I didn't misspell anything. Wend is a word, it means to set one's course or to travel through.

Ok, I don't hate to break it to you at all.
