Question best 1B still standing

Of the four teams in the playoffs, who has the best 1B?
(or least worst?)

Tino - based only on career record

Spiezio in a tight duel with Mientkiewicz.

I think the Cards got Tino a year too late.

Just for clarification, are you saying he is the 1B you would want on your team right now?

Forget the regular season, JT is coming through. Spezio is hitting pretty damn well but JT gobbles up Giambi's ball in Game 2.

if they make the world series will fullmer play first against righties?
a fullmer/spiezio platoon is pretty solid.

apparently, this poll shows you don't need a first baseman making eight figures to get to the LCS.......

hey, Mientkiewicz hit two dingers against Oakland....

I'll go with Snow. I know I've bagged on him lately, but he played pretty well against the Braves. I will say that all four of these guys match up pretty evenly. Tino probably has the best power. They all field really well. Maybe this just is the era of the good field, no hit first basemen.

Ditto. He will go down in history as a "winning player", and he does deserve that reputation, to an extent.
