Talking Have Griese in your Fantasy Leage? He's for the Dogs!

http://espn.go.com/nfl/news/2002/0926/1437245.html

Griese Trips over Pooch and sprains ankle;status uncertain for this weekend

Quote:

"I was walking down the stairs and my dog came barreling down the stairs after me and clipped me, and I kind of twisted my ankle on the stairs," Griese said. "These things happen. Unfortunately, it happened to me.

Asked his reaction when Griese gave him the news, Shanahan said, "I said, `Oh, no.' I thought, What's going to start from here, rumors and speculation of what happened? Did he really trip over the dog? That's what I was thinking."

On May 5, Griese tripped on a steep driveway at teammate Terrell Davis' house and was knocked unconscious, bruising his face. The injury fueled speculation that Griese was intoxicated.

Clumsy or Drinker? I'm thinking he might want people to think he was drinking instead of just clumsy! although my cat has almost taken me out a few times but I'm not an NFL quarterback!

My guess is that he's being honest in this case. Really, he could have said he hurt it running or exercising, but he stepped up and admitted a goofy mistake.

Gives new meaning to the phrase "dogging it"...

My other thought about that story is...Steve Beuerlein is still playing?

I wouldn't worry about it. They're playing the Ravens. Afield goal or a safety should win it for them. Brian Billick is an offensive genius you know?

My cat like to run a half a step in front of me when I'm walking through the house. Usually on my way to the kitchen to make coffee......no fair.
If he wasn't such a cute old survivor I'd kill him.
Now what do we do about Moss' sprained brain after tripping his car over that troublesome traffic agent???

How big is this dog ???? I am guessing it is closer in size to a great dane than to a chihuahua...........

this might actually be a break for Denver, after all, Shanahan is just as a big a genius as Billick......
