Yesterday morning, "knowing" that the MLBPA was going to hold off on setting a strike date, I gave the Minnesota Twins and MLB an interest-free loan for about $1650.00. In return, Denise (my fiancee) and I will have an opportunity to see a possible eleven home playoff games hosted by the Twins. In reality, we would be selling some if not most of these tickets to friends. With luck, we may even get seats that do not require binoculars to see the action--our partial season tickets are located in section 117, row 5, just past first base. We were told that the ticket price breakdown for our seats were $25.00 for Division Playoff games, $60.00 for the ALCS, and $125.00 for the World Series.
Just wondering, since we were told that the prices were set by MLB, are the ticket prices the same at all the other cities hosting playoff games ??? It seems that $25.00 would be quite cheap to see a division playoff game in New York or Boston or some of the other cities that have rather expensive ticket prices.

All depends on the seat - -
the Yankee season tickets that I have are $42 per seat (if you were to buy them the day of the game). For the post-season last year, the same seats were: ALDS $45 - ALCS $70 - World Series $175 (all per seat) The "loan" thing bugs me - - the post-season package should run about three grand for my seats. And, if there is no post-season, the money sits with the Yankees until next year - - of course, I could ask for a refund - - but, that takes a long time to see (like 10 weeks) and you then lose your season ticket plan. They really rob you.

The NBA is the same, and the Pacers put any unused portion toward next season's tickets, too.

I forgot to include this question, but how close were your playoff tickets seats locationwise to your normal season tickets ??? I have this fear of being three sections farther away and ending up in the upper deck or something like that......

Last year, my Indians postseason package was
Div - 40 * 3 games * 2 seats = $ 240.00 ALCS - 75 * 4 games * 2 seats = $ 600.00 WS - 125 * 3 games * 2 seats = $ 750.00 So ~$1,600.00 My seats are normally $20.00 seats. Last year, I was in Section 309 Row J - Mezzanine (middle level, beyond the right field fence). |

I have the full season package - - so, my "season seats" are the same ones I get for the playoffs.

Moose - Loge, right by 1B. Smed - I started these pre-Daddy days. I may just have to drop 'em now. It's a lotta dough - and, I split them with 8 other people!

Just a friendly neighborhood reminder ... the thread topic is how clubs squeeze fans for season ticket money. Thanks.
