There are no Hall of Famers to wear #13, so this is what you might call a wide-open number. Not too many players have braved the "hex." Feel free to add any you want, I just had these two in the data bank.

Davey, Davey, Davey, Davey, Davey.
Puhhhh-leeaaaasssseee! C'mon, throw me a bone. Do it for me - or I'll nuke all your posts! OK, not really, but if these are the two, its easy. Right? |

I have to go with Parrish. I find Davey very overrated, and a 300+ homer catcher is impressive.

Gimme the leather. For a card-carrying 1970s Reds fan? Gotta be.

I always thought Parrish was overrated until James' HBA came out.
He was pretty darn good. Not Freehan good, but pretty darn good. Davey was a good player on a great team. But you put Darrell Chaney or Doug Flynn, they still win in 1975 and 1976. I don't think the Tigers would have done as well with Bill Fahey and Manny Castillo behind the dish. |

Tough call, I went with Parrish. I guess Bill Stein doesn't get any love huh?
We missed the 0/00 in the polls...I'll vote for Al Oliver. |

Went with Parrish, a fine catcher who had some fine offensive seasons

Sorry, but #13 to me will always be Jimmy "the King" Leyritz.
Not a good player, but a nice guy that had some memorable post-season homers. Very memorable!!! (The 3-run shot off Wohlers is my fav all-time homerun...nothing will ever beat the memories of that one...especially when I lived in GA at the time.) I know he is not even close to Lance or Davey, but I love the King! ![]() (He just might be my avatar someday. ) |

Ah, you noticed the lack of #0 too. I thought about pointing it out since I am a proud card-carrying member of the Al Oliver for the HOF Club.
![]() I picked Parrish. I like Concepcion, and I see nothing wrong with him being in Cooperstown, but I'd prefer to have Parrish. Hard to find a lot of catchers with 300 HR's and fairly good skill calling a game. Low average and OBP is just a distraction. |

Angels fans in the 70's became Reds fans around mid-September so it's got to be Davey.

But, Johnny, you didn't vote "other!"

Well, that's your choice. I won't hold that against you, if I did you might be choked to death. ![]() |

I did not vote at first because I know Jimmy is not near the player that Lance or Davey was. Love notwithstanding, I could not make that vote. However, seeing as though Albert Belle's best friend got a vote, I now cast my vote for the King! ![]() (Doesn't everyone have a scrub that they hold dearly?) |

I have to go with my brother's favorite player... Lance Parrish. If he would have stayed in Detroit and off the artificial turf of Philly he would have made a good run at the HOF.
