ESPN's Dave Campbell

From the time that Dave Campbell first appeared on ESPN, until today, I always thought that he was Dave Campbell, the crappy pitcher from the Braves in the late 70's. Today, I find out that he's actually Dave Campbell, the crappy infielder from the Padres in the late 60's and early 70's.

Now I find out that all of my friends knew that he was crappy infielder Dave Campbell. I can't believe that I'm the only person who didn't know this.

Can anyone out there help or am I really the only person who didn't know the truth?

I thought he was the pitcher too. I would imagine that we are not the only two people that thought this. I know that he anoys the heck out of me.

Now, if I could only avoid making much worse mistakes on a daily basis, I'd be at least keeping even with the game. If that's your worst mistake, you are way way way ahead of the game.

And of course, its tough to distinguish between "crappy" and "crappy"!

FWIW, CIDC doesn't annoy me in general though, GOSF.

He LOOKED more like the pitcher and *I* only learned recently he was the infielder.

I guess I was lucky when I first started seeing him because he described himself as an infielder.

Campbell may not be your cup of tea but next to Rob Dibble he looks like a genius.

I read something a long time ago about his playing career, so I knew who he was.

I wouldn't sweat not having known. I've made far worse mistakes than that one with players.
