Default Boycott The All Star Game Tonight!

Boycott the All Star Game!!
To you, a Major League
Baseball Fan. Take this letter and post it on any baseball forum you know of and send it to your
baseball fan friends. Lets show the Major League Baseball Owners and Players that we are sick of
hearing of a looming baseball strike and how neither of them can get a contract worked out. The very
people who make their jobs possible are also working people, who have to day in and day out work
for a living. As a result of the actions and the threats of a work stoppage to "AMERICA'S GAME", We,
the fans, are going to boycott the All Star game tonight to show them what baseball would be like
without Us, the fans.
Boycott the All Star game tonight to show those in the game how those of us who still enjoy the
game feel about the way they are handling this situation.

I was already planning on doing it anyway. Glad I'm not the only one...

Sure thing! I enjoy any quixotic quest.

(Actually, I just like typing “quixotic.”)

Do you get the feeling that fewer people are watching anyway? Not so much out of a sense of boycott, rather disillussionment/boredom/apathy/re-runs of Law & Order/etc.

Tuesday Night Fights on ESPN2 are from the Playboy Mansion in Beverly Hills tonight!

Forget the All-Star game... how do you scam a ticket for THAT event? Do you have to wear a bathrobe if you go?

Anyone in NDF-land have a Nielsen box? I don't - so no one is going to know whether I watch the game or not.

How about I watch the game, but I promise not to enjoy it?

Here's a better idea!!!

Watch the game!!!!

Write down the sponsors!!!!

Write angry letters to the sponsors saying you're upset with them subsidizing the pockets of billionaire multinational corporations that control MLB!!!!!

Realize that the same corporations sponsoring are part of the same multinational conspiracy!!!!

Realize that no one cares what you think unless you have a Nielsen box!!!

Look people...if you don't want to watch, don't watch. The game always ends up being pretty boring.

But do yourself a favor and don't deprive yourself of something you love. There's a very good chance that we won't have a full dose of major league baseball this year. I don't know why anyone would decide that they want less starting right this second.

I hate Selig, I hate the Brewers, I hate the sham that is posing as labor negotiations.

But I love baseball and they'll have to pry it out of my cold dead hands.

By the way, here's a perspective that somewhat echoes mine, for the sake of argument:

I like to watch the intros and the 1st couple of innings. After that it's zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
But tonite it's a toughy because Garret Anderson made the team and I'd love to see his one at bat . Even though it'll be a 4-3.
Baseball is a drug that I can't kick but I agree something must be done.

I am watching and I will enjoy it.

It was not that long ago that the ASG was hosted in Boston. It means everything to the fans who host the game.

I would not do anything to rain on the parade of the Brewers fans.

I want to celebrate the joy of 1st time AS players. It is their night to shine.

Tonight is about everything that is good about baseball. I will not take out my anger on this night players or fans.

I also have the Neilson Diary in my hot little hands. Too bad it only covers 7/11-7/17.
