What Now for Cards?

My biggest worry about the Cards not acquiring a veteran for the rotation is that the "kid" who ever it ends up being, will feel responsible to fill Kile's shoes.

They were already counting on 1 "kid" to fit into Stephenson's slot after he was lost. Now to ask a 2nd "kid" to step in is asking too much in my opinion.

The other scary thing about the "kid" solution is that I see "kid" but I read "Ankiel". I KNOW the Jocketty is praying every night that Rick gets it together and returns to the form of his rookie season. But from what I understand, Ankiel was Kile's pet project and the two were very close. The last thing that the Cards should do is bring him anywhere NEAR St. Louis this season. Keep him in the minors, send him to Puerto Rico for the winter and hand him a rotation spot in the spring.
