what really bothers me is that by totally removing margin of victory, the bcs is essentially saying, "oh, yeah, sorry - i guess we had it totally wrong for a few years. well, miami won last year, so everythings ok, right?!"

No, no, no, my friend, you misunderstand me. The first-round games ARE the lower-tier bowls. So, instead of the Motor City Bowl having a 6-5 team play a 7-4 team, then you might get #8 vs. #24 for a first-round game.

If they won't do a playoff, then I agree with PW, go back to the old way.

I will post my bracket separately (if it will load) because it is somewhat large.

If you don't include every conference title, the system is a sham for the power conferences.

And those small conferences are what make the NCAA tick, really...
