I'm seeing the Peoria/Dayton game friday night. Any top prospects I should be on the look out for. I know Rick Ankiel is in Peoria right now, but he's scheduled to start Wednesday. I'm looking to see the brand new Peoria Chiefs Stadium, O'Brien Field, which just opened over Memorial Day weekend.

Andy Boutwell is a pitcher for Dayton. He's been dominating the league. Don't know anything else.
Gabe Johnson, 3B for Peoria has 11 bombs. You tell us who the prospects are after the game. ![]() |

My in-laws from Peoria were in town this weekend. I made the mistake of asking my brother in law if they'd been to any Peoria games this year. I got a blank stare and a ration of abuse about "why would we do that"? It's hard living with the infidels.

Not a whole lot of prospects on either team - - I would like to know how Rick Asadoorian looks - in terms of on the field body actions - - if you remember to take note.

Noochie Varner is about the only decent Dayton prospect. I don't think Chance Caple is still with Peoria, but Justin Pope isnt bad. Where'd you hear Ankiel was going to start? Duncan (does anyone else feel a Rocky Horror like urge to scream "moron" every time you hear his name?) said Ankiel would be relieving ... maybe he meant just in the majors.

I heard on sportscenter he was going to Peoria, I heard from UTK that it was on Wednesday he was pitching. I assumed starting. I know he's supposed to pitch in relief in the majors.
Anyway, from www.Peoriachiefs.com: Rick Ankiel will begin his trip back to the majors with the Peoria Chiefs. The left handed phenom will be a part of the Chiefs team starting this Wednesday, June 5th. He is expected to pitch in relief and make a few starts (emphasis added). Your in-laws havent been to a game? With that beautiful new field opening? They set an attendence record opening night (Almost 9000!) Peoria is in 1st place in the division to boot! Much better than the Kane County Cougars who I saw last week.
