Default The Greatest Expo Ever is . . .

Alright, who is the greatest EXPO of all time? Will anyone care after next season? (I haven't yet seen a post on the greatest Washington Senator.)

I presume you mean while in an Expos uniform. Its a close call between The Hawk and Carter. I went with the Hawk because he was such a phenomenal talent back then. What about Warren Cromartie? For most colorful, how about Rusty Staub?

Tim Raines. His closest competition might be Gary Carter or Andre Dawson. Carter's catching was great, Andre had somewhat better offensive numbers than Carter.

But Rock's performances from '84-'87 were the greatest ever by an Expo, and he had 11 full seasons that were fine.

Rock ranks first among all Expos in Runs, singles, triples, walks, stolen bases, OBA, Runs created, Offensive Winning Percentage.

He's 2nd all-time in hits, Batting Avg., PA's; 3rd all-time in Games, doubles, OPS; 4th in RBI, total bases and extra-base hits.

Why isn't he in the Hall of Fame?

I was gonna go with the Hawk, but I guess Timmy gets my vote. It's unfortunate they no one great gets to play his whole career as an Expo. That list might include the Unit.

Gotta be Raines. Hopefully it was a simple oversight when setting up the poll.

Raines isn't in the HOF because he's still PLAYING!

Default Raines

I has to be Raines. I was going to vote for Carter but I choose to veto the poll until Raines is added. Carter second and Dawson third.

Hawk!

If Carter had played more in Montreal I might lean his way.

Raines... well... he belongs on the list.

Vlad... I think time will run out on Vlad. Who knows, he might be the first big star of the Washington Filibusters.
