I'm sure at least a few people in this forum collected cards at one time or another - try this one:
"I appeared on 3 Rookie Prospect cards over a 6 year span in the 60's. I rewarded Topps for their persistence by later netting a ROY Award. Interestingly, my ROY wasn't won with a team for which I appeared on a rookie card. Name me, the team I won the ROY for, and the team(s) I had cards with before I finally made it to stay." |

Piniella is correct, as is KC (no surprise there, Boomer!), but you only had 2 correct prior teams.

since no one else subbed an answer...the teams were Pilots '69, Indians '68 & Senators '64. Sweet Lou finally had a card w/ the Royals in '70
