Default Ballpark resource

This came to me after reading Cubsfan latest post about PNC Park. Is it possible to create a Netshrine resource of ballpark reviews? It would be handy to be able to check such a resource of you have a chance to visit a strange park. I know for my part I would like to do some sort of ballpark tour or tours of the vasrious MLB parks. Such a resource would be immensly helpful.

Interesting idea - not sure, on the fly, if it should be part of the forum (as a separate sub-forum) or as part of the main site (www.netshrine.com).

Driver may be how many would be willing to contribute to such a resource.

What do you say NDF members?

I definitely would be interested in doing Detroit area. If we came up with a template of some sort and had people fill it out I don't think it would take long.

I would be willing.

Let me pull together a few things.

Please don't ask me how to drive there. I will tell you where to park and take the train in.

That is how one drives to Fenway. Unless one is insane.

For my , I think this is a fab idea. A kind of questionnaire that folks could submit for each ballpark they go to would be terrific. They could be collected in an archive. Not just one per ballpark either, because people's experiences differ.

I might be able to throw something together. I've got some web space that I am working on. Throw in the fact I'm currently out of work, and it gives me a pretty good project. Better start brushing up on my PHP. If any one has any graphics or templates send me a private message.

I can teach you how to get into Tropicana Field for $2 and sit behind home plate.

I could write a bit about both the Trop and Pro Player. I've also been to Kaufmann, Wrigley, Comiskey, and Metrodome. It would be cool to see what others have experienced.

I think it's a great idea. I could contribute Camden and any DC pseudo-solution next year.

I worked on it for a little while, but I haven't had much time lately. I've got the database of basic park information. The adding the reviews is the tricky part. I may have to set it up so that I am the only one that can add reviews. In which case I will have it so that people can email me the reviews and I can add them. I hope to work on it again soon, but I just picked up a new contracting gig that looks to take up some time.

Did this input page ever materialize ??? I would like to contribute to this and see how my park experiences (I think I have been to 11 of them, although two no longer exist and Riverfront won't after this season) compare to other people's.....

What I did for going to Fenway was get rid of my rental car at the Boston airport, stayed at the Howard Johnson Fenway, and used the subway to get around. I can't imagine having to drive in Boston every day.

What about the idea of making it part of netshrine? Would the work you've done jive with the netshrine format?

I promise I'll do my best never to use 'jive' as a verb for the rest of my netshrine life.
