Talking Who Am I?

I was Big Daddy before ol' Cecil - - more so by look than name. Admittedly, I was a bit of a snow bunny.

People think I was on deck for a famous HR - but, it wasn't me, it was the other guy.

Based on the on deck clue, I'm going with Thurman Munson.

People think Munson was on deck when Chambliss hit the HR to win the 1976 pennant. That's because Munson was photographed jumping up while standing around the on deck circle.

However, Munson was batting ahead of Chambliss in the order and actually made the final out of the bottom of the 8th, before Chambliss won the pennant in the 9th.

Sandy Alomar was on deck.

Sounds like you guys need a clue:

I hit 4 HRs in one W.S. & had an OBA of better than .500 - but my team still lost.

Correct Lee!

All - there's still one more "Who Am I?" out there as I write this - go for it.
