I didn't even know Chuck Finley was married to Tawny Kitaen until I read about their "altercation" in the newspaper. Hmmm.... got me to thinking about players with famous wives at one time or another. I can think of a few right off the top of my head:
Chuck Finley - Tawny Kitaen (actress) Joe DiMaggio - Marilyn Monroe (actress) Dave Justice - Halle Berry (actress) Bo Belinsky - Mamie Van Doren (actress) Help me out... I know there are others and I want to know. P.S. I remember Tawny Kitaen in those Whitesnake videos. I thought she had the best legs I'd ever seen. Chuck Finley probably has another opinion, though, after getting a heel stuck in him. She doesn't look so hot anymore, though, in that mugshot.

I just saw that picture that was posted of Kitaen, and I have to say it's a long way from the days of dancing on cars in Whitesnake vidoes.....
I'd say the mighty have fallen, but this is Tawny Kitaen, and it's not like her career was in the stratosphere before now. At least she can take solace in the fact that her picture isn't as bad as Yasmine Bleeth during her liquid cocaine arrest. |

It's really kind of odd,but I was watching the story of Phil Hartman and his wife last night on E channel.
Think there are any similarities? Sounds like it to me. I just hope they're not gun owners. |

It is odd that a third party called and reported this. It must have been nasty for someone to step in that way. He must have been very bruised and scratched up for them to arrest her when they showed up. Sounds like she's a loose cannon. Acting like that in a car could have gotten them hurt or killed or have resulted in an accident hurting or killing others. Dumb move.
It will be interesting to see what comes of this. What makes it even sadder is that they have two young children. ![]() |

Coulda been worse -- Jimmy Wynn was stabbed by his wife, sometime @1970. He survived, but his career didn't.

Here is a guy getting wailed on by his wife. He knows if he hits her back she will go running crying spouse abuse. His noteriety as a ball player works against him in a situation like this, wouldn't you think?
Abuse is sad in any form!

You're right - it's a tough situation for Finley. He obviously can't hit her back, but by taking the abuse, it opens him up to all sorts of unfair ridicule...the usual "he got beat up by a woman" jokes that are too easy to make.
Seems like he handled the situation as well as he could. |

In light of the circumstances, Finley handled things just about as well as he could. He took time off to make sure his kids were ok and resisted hitting her back. Tawny is looking pretty old... I wonder if that is her real age or her Latin Baseball player age.

This is one case where he could.
Tawny has her reputation as a 40-year-old "actress" who was married to a member of Whitesnake. Finley has the reputation as the nicest guy in baseball and is well liked, if over-the-hill. My guess is that the sitter called the cops (they live in Anaheim, where the Tribe was playing), and Tawny's actions in the car are self-explanatory. The fact that Chuck didn't hit her merely confirms the veracity of the public perceptions of both of them. Maybe Cholly hired her to whack him so Drese could get us a win. If I was Charley Nagy, I'd be watching my back! |

This is indeed sad. You always hear about the male side
doing the damage, never the opposite. I have to hand it to Finley or his parents for raising a real "Man". Violence toward a female never solves anything. |

Hopefully we can close this thread with a note: Finley now leads the AL in HBB.
