This thread is specifically for voting on the 3rd Basemen. Remember, contestants are to rank the players 1-12, with 1 being the highest, and 12 the lowest. Contestants are not to vote for their own players.
Reminder - the voting process is entirely subjective. You can consider offense, defense, baserunning, charcter, clubhouse card-playing, etc. in your evaluation. All votes are due by Tuesday, 12 February 2002. Here are the 3rd Basemen: Bobby Bonilla Chipper Jones Wade Boggs Brooks Robinson George Brett Pie Traynor Ron Santo Paul Molitor Frankie Frisch Dick Allen Harmon Killebrew Eddie Matthews Mike Schmidt

We had 13 in the contest. One is suspended. So, we should have 12 votes on each position. Mex kinda dropped out, so, OK, 11. On this one, we only have 6 so far, no?
I say- if we don't have at least 9 people vote on the 3Bs, we scrap the whole thing - - I don't want this to become a waste of Duque's time - - if people aren't going to be bothered voting. 6 of 11 is not good enough.

We almost had a unanimous pick here - of the 10 ballots cast, 9 could vote for Schmidt (since XD couldn't vote for his own player), and 8 of those 9 were first place votes.
Here's the results from the 3B: 1. Mike Schmidt (Xanadu Dragon) - 106 total points 2. Eddie Mathews (nyy26wc) - 95 total points 3. George Brett (ChrisCary) - 89 total points 4. Wade Boggs (b-ball-lunachik) - 68 total points 5. Harmon Killebrew (pjl7) - 67 total points 6. Ron Santo (Duque) - 62 total points 7. Pie Traynor (Throwback) - 58 total points 8. Paul Molitor (Yogi#8Fan) - 54 total points 9. Brooks Robinson (redsox617) - 45 total points 10. Frankie Frisch (Golden Bear) - 41 total points 11. Larry Wayne Jones (hmrsf) - 40 total points 12. Dick Allen (Buzz Buzzard) - 20 total points 13. Bobby Bonilla (Mexicani Blue) - 0 total points So that means the updated rankings are: 1. b-ball-lunachik - 52 points 2. ChrisCary - 41 points t3. hmrsf - 40 points redsox617 - 40 points Duque - 40 points Xanadu Dragon - 40 points 7. Throwback - 38 points 8. nyy26wc - 36 points 9. Yogi#8Fan - 34 points 10. Golden Bear - 30 points 11. Buzz Buzzard - 28 points 12. pjl7 - 25 points 13. Mexicani Blue - 12 points
