Thumbs down

This is a tough one. Schalk is an HoFer and regarded highly by some serious baseball historians. He played all but 5 games of his career with the White Sox. Was a member of the Black Sox, but not a part of the cabal to throw the 1919 series. This bit of honesty may have been the thing that got him into the HoF. Widely regarded as the premier defensive catcher of his day. Played half his career in the Dead Ball Era and the other half in the Live Ball Era. Couldn't hit a lick in either one.

I am going to say "No", but I may not be right.

Schalk is a perfectly qualified HOFer.

With the road of mistakes that they've gone down, to refuse to make a mistake for Schalk would have been invidious discrimination.

Sure is a shame the HoF never contacted the right person when it was being set up. With some guidance it could have become a profitable and respected organization.
