Default Please Stand By....

Is anyone else having technical difficulties with Netshrine? The past couple of days, I'm getting strange errors saying something about the database being tied up or something to that effect. Just wondering...

Yes, I've seen it too. To my understanding, it seems to be something that occasionally happens for a day or two and then clears up. I'm sure Max will weigh in on this when he can. Please be patient, and thank you.

If you use the "<-BACK" button on your browser, you should be able to go back to the panel with your text - - in occurences where this issue pops up.

Right. But the screen tells you to hit "refresh," and if you do that, you set Western civilization back a few decades like Chris and I did .

Try not refreshing.

BTW, all, if I ever get my PC back, and we upgrade to latest version of vBulletin (2.2.6) - that may help as well.

Thanks for being patient.

The patience is a given. I've never seen, nor can I imagine, a forum as well-run as this one.

Agreed cal. And, the Back button wont always work either. At least not on the first X tries. ... and yeah, refreshing, uhh, is less than effective too.

in my hopeless attempt at humor, i was suggesting that a forum that was well run and somehow paid your bills for you would exceed this one in value.

i failed.

Arrgh. It's around midnight. I'm just back from the ballgame and thougt I'd read Netshrine before hitting the sack. I keep getting that stupid "too many users error" repeatedly. I checked the the number of users on the main page. It says 3 including myself. What the <bleep>? Is there anybody who can do something about this now that Steve is doing dad duty?

P.S. Just got it again whem I tried to post this. Double arrgh

FYI - I'm working with my host server, in absence of having my PC (yes, it's STILL in dry dock) and the fact that I'm out of pocket 15+ hours a day, to correct this issue.

Perhaps within the next 48 hours, it wil be fixed. Thanks for hanging in there.
