He played in the major leagues from 1930 to 1947.

Just have fun. - Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez, in The Sandlot I've been going to games since August 8, 1973....and on August 22, 2004, finally, a foul ball came my way. I had to reach for it, and it deflected off the tip of my right index finger. Shoot, if I was only 4 inches taller! Have you read The Baseball Same Game? |

due to the war and a broken wrist, only played 9 full seasons, 1 half-season, and 2 partials (I don't include his 1 AB in 1933)
in that short time, he amassed 549 RCAA (49th best), an OPS of 1.017 (7th best with 5000+ PA), and a HR% of 6.37 (22nd best with 5000+) what this man could have done with a full career one can only imagine |

Hank only generates a WARP3 of 86 which suggests some defensive limitations and, of course, in this case, a short career. He did his best work one of the greatest offensive eras in the history of the game so his production needs tobe discounted a little there. Still, such a monster peak value cannot be ignore. He lost three years to the war and came back had had three fine seasons afterward.

Another candidate for the "peak but not career value" 40 man roster.

One can have a lot of career value based on peak value. 549 RCAA is a lot of career value.
