William Malcolm Dickey
He played in the major leagues from 1928 to 1946.

Dickey, for whatever reason, rarely accumlated a lot of games in a season. Only once did he exceed 132 games in a season. His WARP3 is 107 and his OPS+ is 127. He was on 11 all-star teams (which didn't start until his 6th season) and was in the top ten in the MVP voting 5 times.

Yup... He is part of one of the great debates... him or Berra. It's Berra of course, but the debate is one of better baseball discussions.
