Man, this is baseball. You gotta stop thinking. Just have fun.
- Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez, in The Sandlot

I've been going to games since August 8, 1973....and on August 22, 2004, finally, a foul ball came my way. I had to reach for it, and it deflected off the tip of my right index finger. Shoot, if I was only 4 inches taller!

Have you read The Baseball Same Game?

The "Rock" could really mash in an era when mashers were hard to come by. Relatively short career with inly 14 seasons of play. Immensely powerful throwing arm from RF. On occasion, used to go to the home plate area before a game and throw a ball from there over the CF fence. I don't recall how far that was in Cleveland, but in KC it was 421 feet with a 20 foot high wall to clear.

Had a Warp3 score of 85+ which is quite good.

CF fence in Cleveland in the 60's was anywhere from 407-410 feet.

He's a legend in Cleveland, and that's enough for me. Boston may have had the "Curse of the Bambino", Cleveland had the "Curse of Rocky Colavito".
