Arrow Charles O. Finley

He owned major league teams from 1960 to 1980.

Man, this is baseball. You gotta stop thinking. Just have fun.
- Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez, in The Sandlot

I've been going to games since August 8, 1973....and on August 22, 2004, finally, a foul ball came my way. I had to reach for it, and it deflected off the tip of my right index finger. Shoot, if I was only 4 inches taller!

Have you read The Baseball Same Game?

One of baseball's last impressarios. Had a lot of really stupid ideas and a lot of really smart ideas, but was such a horse's ass, people ignored the latter.

Fun side fact I recently learned: Once free agency had shorn the team of all of its talent and he ran his front office on a shoestring, he hired a local kid to do...well, I can't remember what, but something with the ballclub. The local kid grew up to be MC Hammer.

Funky multi colored uniforms, bonuses for mustaches,3 world champions yes from me.
Plus extra points for introducing white skates to the NHL and willing to have someone with a first name Carol be your best hockey player.
