Default Jaret Wright to the DL

Hmm, I seem to remember lots of Yankee fans around here predicting/hoping this would happen.

Jaret Wright: Headed to the DL

Update: Wright (shoulder) is headed for the disabled list for the eighth time in his career, the Associated Press reports.

Recommendation: After throwing a pitch to Hank Blalock in the sixth inning, Wright crouched down on the mound with a pain in his right shoulder and was removed from the game. "I kind of felt it in the second inning and it gradually got worse," he said. "It got pretty bad in the sixth."

Yesterday was a good game. I'll take that kind of beating if means getting rid of Wright for a while.

Man, this is baseball. You gotta stop thinking. Just have fun.
- Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez, in The Sandlot

I've been going to games since August 8, 1973....and on August 22, 2004, finally, a foul ball came my way. I had to reach for it, and it deflected off the tip of my right index finger. Shoot, if I was only 4 inches taller!

Have you read The Baseball Same Game?
