Does being from the burbs' count - then it would be Cal Ripken - According to Mapquest.com Harve De Grace & Baltimore are 40 miles apart. I will leave it up to the official scorer to decide this one.

I would guess Ripken - if being from the Baltimore "area" counts.

Whitey Ford would be my 2nd guess.

The question is "IN the city of their birth," not NEAR the city of their birth.

Cal didn't play IN Harve de Grace, he palyed 40 miles away.
